The cinema is so, at some point it becomes a river and sail it touches you with the utmost attention ... Over time, our absolute master, he decides what, how and by whom, and there is only one that counts, to finish the program written to the agenda, the rest becomes secondary.

But now I try to recover with a brief account of how things have gone so far. Apart from a few days of rain that has unnerved extremely, everything went well.

A lla fine della terza settimana abbiamo comunque lasciato a malincuore la Puglia. Siamo stati accolti e assistiti in maniera straordinaria. Da tutti, in primis la popolazione di Savelletri, poi la Film Commission pugliese, le istituzioni di Fasano.

È stato un momento bello sia umanamente che artisticamente. Il film credo se ne avvantaggerà molto di quella partenza, di quella vicinanza al realismo dei luoghi, delle voci, delle facce. Ho coinvolto tantissimi abitanti e cercato di far entrare nella vicenda e nel tessuto narrativo i suoni e le luci di quella umanità, dai connotati così peculiari, dalla lingua tanto umana e vicina allo spirito del film. Sarò sempre grato a quella gente, a quel mare, a quella terra.

Emilio Solfrizzi credo abbia davvero fatto moltissimo; il riconoscimento quotidiano, l'affetto e gli sguardi di tutti credo siano stati propulsivi per una sua interpretazione del personaggio davvero importante.
